Another follow up from your original enquiry. The nearest King Street was, I
think, the one that still exists. About three-quarters of a mile south of
St. James Sq. - It runs from Welsh Back to Prince Street, near Queen Square.
Approximately parallel to it was Little King Street.
Bedminster Causeway was approx: another mile away, south of Little King St.
I also found an Old King Street, near St. James Square, which was a
continuation on from Barrs Street, and ran between Horse Fair and Broad
Mead. Finally there is a King Square and a King Square Avenue, north of
St.James Square.
I hope this helps.

Hi Folks, can anyone tell me if St James Square (1875) was the name of a
street or was it an area with a number of streets around it. Also was it
anywhere near King Street, or Bedminster Causeway(1830) and do these
streets still exist?
Many thanks
Suzanne.
