The official address is "Webster Avenue and E 233rd St;
Bronx NY 10451", phone 781-920-0500 (all from a search on
PC411, http://www.thinkdirectmarketing.com ).
This represents the northeast corner of this rather large
cemetery. Bat Masterson is buried there, among other
famous people.

Although it's in the West Bronx (those of us from the East
Bronx consider the border to be the Bronx River -- Jerome
Avenue cheats by taking a jog around the west side of the
cemetery!) I-95 is not such a bad way to get there.

Take the Connors Street exit and go (north)west past
Boston Post Road (Connors St becomes Provost Ave) and
make a left on E. 233rd St, and you'll be at the Bronx
River in maybe 10 minutes. (This was a good way to
avoid Cross Bronx Expressway traffic.)

There looks to be a E 233rd St exit off I-87 (the Major
Deegan portion of the NYS Thruway) although the one
that always sticks in my mind is "Van Cort Park So".
