Hello List,

It's some time since I took part on this List, although I read the
postings with interest.

I have just obtained a 1909 death registration on which the address of
the informant is given as Tighnabruaich House, Tighnabruaich. I think
this place in Buteshire? The person was born and brought up in a fairly
wealthy family in Glasgow, so I'm interested in this place and how he
may have come to be living there.

Is anyone able to give me any information on the place, please? The name
I am interested in is Samuel MILLAR, born 1864, and the timespan 1891
onwards. In the 1891 census Samuel is still single and living in
Glasgow, occupation Tanner & Farmer.
