Hi Nancy....I never could find him in any index, except when he was in Plumas County. This one is a mystery. He must be somewhere. I guess I will have to go through each page of the census to see if I can find him.

I could not locate Matthias GLASER in 1870 index, any state. This is the
only GLASER in 1870 CA, SanFrancisco area. None in Sacramento.
