Hi Becky. I looked at the census for 1920. Not much to go by there. I agree that the immigration date for both is definitely after 1910 on that one. I had no luck searching the 1910 census. I did check 1930 also. Was he in Arizona in that one? If he is the one I found you are right it said immigrated in 1906. Do you think he could have gone back to Japan to visit family or get his wife? Another question....how would you pronounce his first and last name phonetically? That might help find him if his names were mispelled.

Dear Margaret,
I finally found the 1920 census information on my grandfather. Although it
looks like he immigrated in 1910, I do have other documents (naturalization)
that state he arrived in November 1907 and that he resided in Los Angeles in
1909. The enumerator misspelled my grandfather's last name. Thanks for your
help.
