LONG ILLNESS IS ENDED BY DEATH
O. P. SALYER PASSED AWAY AT HOME IN THERMALITO LAST NIGHT
Oliver P.[erry] Salyer, a well-known resident of Thermalito, died at his home in that place last evening. Death follows an illness that has lasted over two years. Mr. Salyer came to Oroville some four years ago. He was 64 years old when death overtook him. Mr. Salyer leaves to mourn his demise a wife,[Adelia A Dodge], a mother,[Rebecca West Salyer, d. August 1915] aged 94 years, residing in Missouri, and two brothers and four sisters[George W.; James M.; Caroline M Leach; Sarah Rhodes, Laurissa/Larsie Gardner, and Indimora Jones] of Missouri and Illinois. The children are Mrs. L. O. Hillman of Foley, Minnesota; George W. Salyer of Clayton, Iowa; Oliver P. Salyer and Grace Salyer, both of Thermalito. Arrangements for this funeral will be announced later.

OLIVER P SALYER FUNERAL YESTERDAY
MANY FRIENDS ATTEND FUNERAL SERVICES
Funeral services over the late Oliver P. Salyer were held yesterday morning at 10 o'clock in the Hamilton and Reynolds' undertaking parlors. Many of the friends of the deceased attended the services and many beautiful flowers and floral pieces were in evidence. Rev. L. W. Wheatley officiated. A choir composed of Mrs. M. E. Phares and Mrs. W. J. Bullard sang several very appropriate songs. The pall bearers were Harry Fletcher, Elmer Thompson, Bert Stevens of Thermalito; W. T. Henn, W. A. Ward and L. W. Johnson of Oroville. Interment was in the Oroville Cemetery.
