EDWARD GERMAN

BURNEY--Services for Edward "Gary" German of Burney
will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Grace
Community Church here.

Les Spearin will officiate at the services.

Burial will be in the Burney District Cemetery.

Mr. German was found dead Thursday near an embankment
on Highway 299. He was 22. According to Shasta
County sheriff's Capt. Jim Carter, German died of
multiple gunshot wounds.

Born Jan. 21, 1957, in Burney, he had been a lifelong
resident of Shasta County.

He had been a catskinner for two years with Hammon
Brothers Logging Co.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne
German of Burney; sisters, Maryanna Chandler of
Susanville, Waynette Palmer of Denver, Colo., Denise
Brown of Redding, Kathy Spearin of Yreka and Christina
German of Redding; and his maternal grandmother, Clara
Heiss of Monheim, German.

McDonald's Burney Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

ETHEL KLINE

Services for Ethel Bell Kline of Palo Cedro will be
held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Allen & Dahl Funeral
Chapel in Redding.

The Rev. Duane R. Phelps will officiate at the
services.

Burial will be in the Millville Cemetery.

Mrs. Kline died Saturday in Memorial Hospital in
Redding. She was 87.

Born Dec. 19, 1892, in Mountain Grove, Mo., she came
to Shasta County one week ago from Rialto. She was a
housewife.

She is survived by her husband, Edward, a son, Kenneth
Smith, both of Palo Cedro; brothers, John Holdren of
Rialto, Ervin Holdren of San Jose, and Lawrence
Holdren of Devore; and sisters, Ellen Chaffin of
Rialto and Corde Kelley of San Bernardino.

HELEN BENSON

ANDERSON--Graveside services for Helen Louella Benson
of Anderson will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the
Anderson District Cemetery.

Mrs. Benson died Friday at Memorial Hospital in
Redding. She was 58.

Born April 27, 1921, in San Diego, she came to
Anderson four months ago.

She is survived by her husband, Gordon, of Anderson.

Mcdonald's Anderson Chapel is in charge of
arrangements.

PAUL ROBINSON

Memorial services for Paul Robert Robinson of Anderson
will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Lawncrest Chapel of
Redding.

Wilford Presson will officiate at the services.
Cremation was in the Sierra View Crematory in
Marysville.

Mr. Robinson was found dead Thursday at Virginia
Avenue in Anderson. He was 22. Shasta County
sheriff's Capt. Jim Carter said Robinson died of head
injuries caused by a blunt object.

Born Aug. 28, 1957, in Buffalo, N.Y., he came to
Shasta County in 1968.

He was a millwright and had been a construction worker
in Montana.

He was a member of the United Brotherhood of
Carpenters and Jointers of America No. 1172 of
Billings, Mont.

He is survived by his father, Robert of Redding;
mother, Carolyn Holt of San Francisco; brothers Philip
of Redding and Peter of Montana; sister, Gail of
Redding; maternal grandfather, Edward Holt of New York
and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Robinson of Redding.
