Highlights:
Jean GABAIG was a tailor at Patterson where he was established since 1911.

He is a native of France, born in the Basses-Pyrenees district, Dec 15 1860,
son of Pierre and Anna (SOULE)GABAIG. His father was the guardian of the
forests for the French Government.

In 1886 Jean came to San Francisco. In 1899 he came to Stanislaus County,
locating at Newman, where he opened a French hand laundry.

He married in Modesto to Miss Leonie PAAU, also a native of France, born
near Rodez. Both are citizens of the United States.

Jean GABAIG died in Patterson on 8/14/1924 and is buried in the Patterson
Cemetery, Stanislaus County. (the death date is NOT in the CADI - I only
found it in the cemetery records)

GABAIG, Perrie age 43 died Los Angeles 10/16/1912
GABAIG(Z), Pierre age 29 died Los Angeles 10/08/1905

Obituary reads he was 63 years old, native of France, died at the Emerald
house in Patterson. Funeral services at cemetery by the order of Odd Fellow,
Davis & Evans, undertakers.
