Nov 26-"In the midst of life we are in death" This was exemplified by the
sudden passing away of Jesse Loder at his home in Auburndale last night at
10:30 o'clock. Deceased was sitting up, perusing a paper an hour before the
grim messenger delivered his imperative summons. The cause of death was
heart failure. He was taken ill suddenly and died before a physician could
be summoned. Deceased was born in Stuben County, New York, was 56 years old
at the time of his death and been a resident of this county for the past
eight years. He had made his home for some time in the old Auburndale
Hotel. He was a member in good standing of the Fraternal Aid Association
and the A.O.U.W., and carried $2000 in insurance in each organization.
Deceased leaves a devoted wife. The funeral will take place tomorrow
afternoon at 1:30 p.m. from the family residence at Auburndale and the
remains will be interred in the new cemetery. Just which organization will
have charge of the final obsequies the writer is at present unable to say,
but probably both societies will participate.
