Services: Thurs., Nov. 9, 1 p.m.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in
Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery for Muriel B. Carpenter, 72, who died November 5, in
a Bakersfield hospital after an extended illness. Rev. Doug Davis of Calvary
Bible church will officiate.
Mrs. Carpenter was a native of Rector, Arkansas and had lived here for
the past forty years. She was a nurses technician for the past 31 years and was
affiliated with San Joaquin Hospital. She was a member of Order of Eastern
Star Security Chapter No. 426, the Fairfax Grange and was a nurses aid for almost
all the hospitals in this area. She is survived by her children, Claudia
Garner of Bakersfield, Brenda Parker of Texas and Judy Pratt of Oregon. Her
grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life and she enjoyed
having them around to love, there were five of them and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. till 8:00 p.m. in Mish Funeral Home.
