I'm ccing Judy Ewbank who can help you with an obituary for the Stanislaus
county death. Death certificates no longer can be transcribed in Stanislaus
county. You can order a certified copy from the county recorder's office.
You can find information here on how to order an obituary from the SF
library....Newspaper Obituaries/Death Notices Lookup at SF Main Library
The San Francisco Main Library has many old San Francisco newspapers on
microfilm. California residents may write or email them to request a lookup
at no charge. (They are no longer processing obituary lookups for patrons
residing outside of California.) They will check up to six (6) days after
the death date. There is a limit of three lookup requests at one time. You
MUST provide the exact date of death.

a.. For regular mail requests, provide a name and exact date of death, and
include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Mail your request to:

c.. San Francisco Public Library, Main Branch
d.. 100 Larkin Street
e.. San Francisco, CA 94102-4733
b.. For e-mail requests, provide a name and exact date of death, and
include your own mailing address.

Please visit the CADI website http://vitals.rootsweb.com/ca/death/search.cgi
and you will be provided with the social security number and mother's maiden
name (it's against the law in CA for me to post these on the internet
because I live in CA)
Once you've located the person above at the website, use the ADD link in the
right column and leave a message indicating information you might have on
this person - maybe someone will find your post and contact you with more
information;

Please do the same by following the link on the SS# if one appears.

By doing these two simple posts you will be keeping genealogy free for
others.

If you get further details from the obituary, edit your message to keep it
current on the information you have on this person.

just stumbled across the information for Evelyn. My family does not know
for sure, but we believe Marie (or Mae as she was called) lived around or
