Father of W. S. Renfro Dies in This City
Silias Renfro, a pioneer resident of Fresno and father of William Renfro of
the city, died last night at the home of his son at Twenty-second and C
streets, after an attack of pneumonia lasting but two or three days. The deceased
was a native of Illinois and was 84 years of age. He had been in California
fifty-four years and for the last thirty years made his home in Fresno. He was
on a visit to his son here when he was taken sick.
The remains were sent to Fresno this morning by Templeton & Company and the
funeral services were held in that city this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. The
deceased is survived by a daughter, Mrs. J. A. Killilea of Fresno, a son W. S.
Renfro of this city, a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Coryell of Indianola, Ia., and
a brother, W. H. Renfro of Denver, Colo.
