GARNIER, Chester Daniel - funeral services for Chester Daniel Garnier, 68,
Taft carpenter and resident there for 20 years, will be conducted Thursday
afternoon at 6 o'clock in the Stoffer Chapel with the Reverend L. F. Romines
officiating. Burial will be in West Side Cemetery. Mr. Garnier was born in
Colorado on December 10, 1874, and died February 8 in his home at 103 Polk street.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. C. D. Garnier of Taft; three daughters,
Mrs. Madeline Moore, Mrs. Josie Swanson of Pueblo, Colo., and Mrs. Thelma East
of Pittsburg, Calif.; three stepsons, Joe Foster of Taft, Fred Foster of
Bakersfield and Dr. Kenneth Foster of Tajunga; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Grace Lee
Jewell of Taft and Mrs. Maude Henry of Arroyo Grande.
