Hi Cindy,
I looked at CADI 1905-1939
Henry Samuels, age 70, died San Francisco county, 12/4/1930, cert #66995
no listings for a Samuels with Lucas as a first name....
it is possible that he died prior to 1905
http://www.rootsweb.com/~cabf1905/counties.htm but Napa isn't listed
yet......
Here's a possibility for help in Napa Co.

Subject: Henry Lucas Samuels
Hi, I am trying to find when my GGrandfather died. I found him listed as a
patient in the 1900 Napa County census, and assume it to be at the State
Hospital. He was 61 years old at the time, a physician, English born, and
suffered
from alcoholism and possibly "meloncholia". Any help would be appreciated. I
just read a disturbing article about the thousands of unmarked graves on the
grounds of the Hospital. I am hoping there was some information as to who
and when
a patient died. Thanks.
Cindy
