the Daily Colusa Sun.
The same paper yielded his son's obituary and I have that copied as well.

Do not know if this is your man?? Does not appear to be judging from 1900
census
But he should be in the area since his son was supposedly born in CA in

survived by wife Helen Ruth MALLOWAY, three sons: Robert L, Philip J. and
Allen R. MALLOWAY and brother, Robert W. MALLOWAY of Pacific Grove.

Thank you for volunteering to look up William Malloway. I have a very
faded date on a microfiche that I got from the Family History Center in Los
Angeles. Hopefully I am reading it correctly. I think his death date was
either 06-29-1908 or 06-19-1908. There is a number after that date,17465 or
17469, that may be the file number. That's fine if it takes 3 weeks or even
more. It's not that I have lots of time to do this stuff. Life gets in the
way.
