HOVERMALE, William Penn - Funeral services will be conducted in Greenlawn
Chapel Saturday at 11 a.m. for William Penn Hovermale, 68, of 1801 Ming Rd.,
who died in a local hospital Nov. 28. C. E. Franklin of the church of Christ
will officiate and interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr.
Hovermale was a native of Kentucky and had lived in Bakersfield for 27 years. Prior
to his retirement he was a carpenter by trade. Survives include his sons,
Roy F. Hovermale, Jack O. Hovermale, a daughter, Mrs. Clara Demos, all of
Bakersfield; grandchildren, Mrs. Adrienne Beck, Mrs. Susie Redman, Mrs. Lois
Morgantine and Nick Demos, all of Bakersfield; three great-grandchildren;
brothers, Robert L. Hovermale, Peyor, Okla., Wiley Hovermale of Kansas City, Mo.,
sisters, Mrs. Allen Craig of Louisville, Ky and Mrs. Pearl McElreath of
Muskogee, Okla.
