Dear Listers,

The Pre-1905 California Death Index Project is in need of additional
volunteer transcribers. This project is dedicated to getting all the death records
in the various counties indexed and online. We do not charge for access to the
info. It is free to all. Previous transcribing experience is not necessary.
We will train you to work with our templates. You will need the following:

1) The MS Excel program OR the MS Works Spreadsheet program.

2) The ability to read a CD on your computer.

3) The willingness to work with difficult and often faded documents.

4) Good communications skills and more than a dollop of patience.
