Thursday, August 15, 1957

BIG BEND--John Nolen Cantrell, 26, of Big Bend, died
unexpectedly at his home here yesterday. Death was
blamed on a heart attack. He was born here May 11,
1931. He was a truck driver and a veteran of the
Korean war.

He leaves his mother, Maude H. of Big Bend; 10
brothers, Andrew G., Marion L., Leo J. R., Orland and
Harvey M., all of Big Bend, Ralph C. of Mt. Shasta,
Donald, Miles H. and LeRoy M., all of Redding and Ray
of Montgomery Creek; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Connelly
of Big Bend, Mrs. Marjie Hood of Fresno, Mrs.
Madelaine Coy of Keddie and Mrs. Mazie Winters of
Redding.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m.
Saturday at Halcomb cemetery in Montgomery Creek with
the Rev. Kenneth L. Pagard officiating. Funeral
arrangements are under the direction of
Meininger-Dusel mortuary in Redding.
