Stockton Record Obits:
An index to the Stockton Record exists as a card file index (kept only at
the Chavez Central Library) and goes all the way back to the Gold Rush up
to 1990. Done by librarians by hand, some periods were indexed better than
others.

fill out the "Ask a Reference Question" form on the Chavez (Stockton)
library web page: http://www.stockton.lib.ca.us/emquest.htm

make sure you provide details from the CA death index and they will copy
what you request (writing reason) and mail or fax it to you... copies from
the microfilm are generally $.25 per page......$1.00 minium

and use the ADD link in the right column and leave a message indicating
information you might have on this person - maybe someone will find your
