RITTERSHAUS, William C. - Graveside services were held at Hillcrest
memorial Park Friday at 3:30 p.m. for William Rittershaus, 76, who died July 10 in a
Bakersfield convalescent hospital. The Rev. Ronald C. Bennett of the Messiah
Lutheran Church officiated. Mr. Rittershaus was born in New Jersey and had
resided in kern County for 10 years. He was a member of American Legion Post
No. 26. Mr. Rittershaus is survived by his widow, Anna; a son, Charles W. of
New York; a brother, Herman of Tucson, Ariz.; 2 sisters, Margaret Miller of
Detroit, Mich., and Elsie Morgan of San Francisco; and 3 grandchildren.
