Aug. 23, 1903 -- March 28, 1999

Thelma Alene Butcher, 95, of Modesto died Sunday at Valley View Care Center,
Riverbank.Mrs. Butcher was a native of Algona, Iowa. She had lived in Modesto
since 1911. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Central Seventh-day
Adventist Church. She taught school and was a librarian.

She is survived by her son, Albert Butcher of Vidor, Texas; grandchildren and
caregivers Larry Butcher of Merced and Cheryl Munger of Lancaster; and five
grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Private services. Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, Modesto, in charge of
arrangements.
