MONTGOMERY CREEK--Graveside services for Gilbert
Monroe Davidson, 65, of Round Mountain will be
conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Halcomb Cemetery here.

Officials of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5689 of
Burney will officiate.

Mr. Davidson died Thursday in Grangeville, Idaho.

Born October 5, 1918, in Freedom, Okla., Mr. Davidson
moved to Shassta County in 1946 from Chico.

A mechanic and welder for 49 years, he worked for
Scotts Lumber Co. (now Publishers Lumber Co.) in
Burney. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, and
was a member of the National Rifle Association and a
lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5689
of Burney.

He is survived by wife Madeline; daughters Beverly
Sullivan of Burney, Lorrie Davidson of Round Mountain
and Grace Davidson of Hayfork; sisters Belle McCormick
and Eve West, both of Bella Vista, and Hazel Davidson
of Fresno; and seven grandchildren.

Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding is handling arrangements.
