MEMORIAL NOTICES
BRANTLEY, Laura Adena Hoppe - Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn
Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., Friday, February 22, at 11:00 a.m. for Laura
Brantley, who passed away February 18, 1991. Rev. Mark C. Whittaker, Pastor
of Bethany Lutheran Church will officiate.
Mrs. Brantley was born may 24, 1919 in Truman, Minn. where she was a
confirmed member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church. She has resided in Bakersfield for
the past 49 years. Laura was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is
preceded in death by her son, James, in 1976, as well as, four brothers and six
sisters.
Her survivors include her husband of 51 years, Orvell; son and
daughter-in-law, Dennis and Charlotte Brantley; daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Herk
Beavan; grandchildren, Carrie Gentry Morgan and husband, Rob, Tracy Gentry and
Jon Gentrey, Monty, Richard and Cindy Brantley, all of Bakersfield; grandson,
Mike Hight of Chatsworth, Georgia and many nieces and Nephews.
Her favorite things to do were cooking for her family and vacationing in
Nevada. Laura was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the V.F.W. Auxilary #1468.
She will be truly missed by all those that knew and loved her. Visitation
begins Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
