Thanks so much for all the searching!

The William who died in Alameda Co could be the William who is in Oakland,
Alameda Co in 1910 with wife Katherine because Katherine appears in the 1920
census without William, though she is listed as Married, not widowed.

Could you clarify the years that the index covers? Perhaps we should be
going through the paper day by day or week by week to find the marriage?
Since William was a printer, perhaps we should be checking the city
directories for Sacramento to see when he arrived and when he left? Perhaps
we should be checking deeds or wills?

Did some more searching since I couldn't find anything in the Sacramento Bee
index.
I looked at the 1910 census and according to it they had been married 4
years it's possible that they did marry in Sacramento....Sandra Harris
visits the recorder's office and she could check for a birth and marriage in
Sacramento county....she is currently out of the state but I will cc
her....when she responds, please make sure you answer and let her know that
you are interested in the lookup

in 1920 Ethelyn is a widow, still living in Sacramento, Harold Todd, age 16,
father born CA, mother born CA which doesn't match the 1910 census results
Do you have 1930 Census results?

I believe this is his death - age 53, spouse E, cert #8417 TODD WILL G 02

I did find A William G. Todd born in MO in the 1890 Great Register in Yuba
county......

Comparing age between 1910 and 1920 Ethelyn was born between Jan. 9 and
April 20 1880.....some possibilities if she remarried....wish I had found an
Ethelyn but Ethel is the closest......
