McCreery - In Ceres, March 7th William A.; husband of Ella M. McCreery; father of Mrs. Irene V. Hickey and grandfather of Victoria Ann Hickey, all of Ceres; brother of Mrs. Earle Finn of Modesto, Mrs. W. H. Besecker of San Jose, J. W. McCreery of Los Altos, Joseph of Sacramento and Charles of Oakdale. A native of Elgin, Ill, aged 58 years. Friends are invited to attend the funeral services Saturday morning at 11 o'clock in the SHANNON Chapel, Sixteenth and I Sstreets, with Rev. W. R. Baird officiating. Interment, Masonic Cemetery.

Ella M. McCreery, 93, of Modesto died Sunday at English Oaks Convalescent Hospital.
Mrs. McCreery was a native of Crows Landing. She lived in Modesto all her life. She was a clerk for Sears 20 years. She was the wife of the first rural mail carrier in the Ceres area and she assisted him on the route.
She is survived by her daughter, Irene Hickey of Modesto; granddaughter and caregiver, Vickie Higginbotham of Modesto; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at McHenry Chapel of Franklin & Downs. Services will conclude at the chapel.
Remembrances may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, N.E. California Division, 2422 Arden Way, A-28, Sacramento 95825.

Succumbs In Hospital
William H. Besecker, 86, of Modesto
died in a local hospital yesterday
after a long Illness. Besecker
resided In Ceres for 34 years before
moving to Modesto five years ago.
He was the father of Arthur H. Besecker, Bessie Jones and Alice
Vasconcellos of Modesto, W. H.,
Besecker, Jr., of San Jose, Frank E.
Besecker of West Point and Chester
M. Besecker of Tahoe Vista. He is
also survived by eight grandchildren
and five great grandchildren.:
Funeral services will be held in
the Shannon Chapel at 1:30 P. M.
Friday. Rev. W. R. Baird will offlcitite.
Interment will be In the
family plot.

She is survived by her children, Moe Duval of Turlock and Barbara Reeder of Clearlake; a brother, James McCreery of Memphis, Tenn.; sisters, Edith Servin of Muscoy, Helen Hockasay of Fremont and Ruth McCreery of Paramount; and four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A private entombment Friday at Turlock Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Allen Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
