DICK C. GARDNER

A graveside service for Dick Cornelius Gardner, 61, of Hickman will be held
at
1 p.m. tomorrow in the Ceres Cemetery, with the Salas Brothers Funeral
Chapel
in charge of arrangements.
A native of Lockney, Tex., he moved to California 41 years ago and lived in
Hickman 21 years. He died Monday in a local hospital following a long
illness. He was a veteran of World War II and was a retired auto body
repair
man.
Survivors are his widow, Marie Gardner; five sons, Dick C. Gardner Jr.,
Donald
Crosley Gardner, Raymond Lee Gardner, David Paul Gardner and Guy William
Gardner, all of Modesto; five daughters, Barbara McMann, Bebe Gardner, Joyce
Marie Hess, Carol Lynn McDaniel and Dixie Jean Gardner, all of Modesto; his
mother, Ethel Gardner of Ceres; two brothers and two sisters out of this
area;
24 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
