When I used the new search engine I found
DAVIS JOHN 09 23 1914 SAN JOAQUIN age 80 cert #28407

fill out the "Ask a Reference Question" form on the Chavez (Stockton)
library web page:
http://www.stockton.lib.ca.us/emquest.htm

make sure you provide details from the CA death index
and they will copy what you request (writing reason) and mail or fax it to
you...
copies from the microfilm are generally $.25 per page......$1.00 minium

I am looking for death info.
John Davis died Sept 23, 1914, I believe in San Joaquin Co.
I think I found him in the death index, but the copy I read is faded and I
can
not make out all the information. He would have been about 80 years old.
Could you please help.
