Sunday, Dec. 18, 1921

Mrs. John [Mary] Shed, a pioneer of the county, died
in Alameda Thursday. Years ago John Shed was a
proprietor of the Tower House. Following his death
Mrs. Shed moved below. She was back in Redding five
months ago to attend the funeral of her niece, Miss
Ida Kine. The decedent was aged 69 years. Interment
was made in St. Mary's Cemetery, Alameda, by the
graveside of her husband.
