My Gr.grandfather James Rickard was born in Camborne Cornwall 29JULY 1856.
He came to the US as a very young man and married Elizabeth Perry, daughter
of Bennett Perry, owner of a boarding house in San Jose. Marriage date
unknown at this point. They lived at Englishtown at New Almaden, where my
grandfather Earl Rickard was born. He had two older brothers, James and
Charles, both born at New Almaden. They moved to Nevada City about 1897. I
would like to find out where James (senior) was bofore he went to San Jose.
I believe he was somewhere else in the US before he came to CA. James died
16DEC1930 in Goodyear Bar, Sierra CO., CA. Thanks for your help!
