Yes, on the 1930 Los Angeles census, the houses had both visitation
numbers and house numbers. Also in San Francisco and Napa this is
true--at least in the areas that I've been looking in. All the previous
census years for San Francisco list street addresses and visitation
numbers, I can't recall if any of the others did. Maybe it is a city
"thing"
