Wow! The pension file arrived today. I checked my correspondence log and see
that I mailed the order on June 21st -- 45 days ago. I think this is the
fastest I've ever received a military file from NARA.

I mailed orders for a homestead file and a pension file from the National
Archives about 5 weeks ago. I don't expect to receive them for at least
another 3 weeks, but I'm counting the days. Last time I ordered from NARA
they responded within their stated 8 to 10 week time frame.
