Subject: [CA-SACRAMENTO-EVENTS] Family History Problem SolvingClass-Wednesdays 10-12 for 10 weeks
Date: Thu, 4 Jan 2007 23:08:35 -0800
The Roots Magic Class scheduled for Wednesdays 10-12 will be canceled due to
lack of interest. The office has received only 2 registrations. If you are
interested in the Family History Problem Solving Class you can have the
office transfer your funds!
I need 5 more students for the following class which begins Wednesday of
next week..
FAMILY HISTORY PROBLEM SOLVING
No matter where you are in your expertise, join us for 10 weeks of
individual problem solving and group discussion. If two heads are better
than one, imagine what a classroom of family history experience can do for
your brick wall! This is a goal-oriented hands-on workshop designed to help
you push through brick walls in your research. NEW! Rancho Cordova Adult
Education Department has bought a one year license to Ancestry.com. A full
library subscription to Ancestry.com is available at every computer.
ALL COURSES ARE $40/$30 SENIORS 55+ HELD IN RANCHO CORDOVA AT 1160 GADSTEN
This class has been successful at solving several family history problems in
the group. Problem solving is one of the best exercises for the family
historian. With 10 full weeks we should have an hour or more for each
individual student problem. Keep in mind that what you learn by helping to
solve the brick wall of a fellow student will add to your own expertise!!
Another bonus is the people who usually sign up for this class are seasoned
family historians who could teach the class on their own merits. How would
you like a group of experts working on your problem? Join us!!!
Please respond to this email if you will be attending this class. You can
register IN CLASS next Wednesday but I need to be able to gather a count.
Thanks so much, and ...HAPPY NEW YEAR!
