Subject: [CA-SBCGS] IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SBCGS MEMBERS
Date: Thu, 11 Mar 2004 16:17:53 EST
SBCGS MEMBERS, please note the following:
1) This concerns delivery of your SBCGS Newsletter.
* You should receive a copy of your SBCGS Newsletter for March / April, 2004
NO LATER THAN NEXT TUESDAY, March 16th. Some of you may have already received
yours by now, but it is important to note that newsletters delivered to some
zip codes may take longer to arrive than others. This is due to the fact that
the post offices within certain zip codes take longer to make bulk mail
deliveries. We wish to allow sufficient time to allow for these differences, and
identify members who are not receiving their newsletter at all or not in a
timely fashion.
* If you have not received your newsletter by this coming TUESDAY, MARCH
16th, please e-mail me directly at . Please send your full name
(how the SBCGS newsletter should be addressed), street address and zip code,
so that we may research the problem. Please indicate the best way to contact
you as well.
2) SBCGS Members' ride-sharing to attend the SBCGS general meeting.
Some people wish to attend the general meeting that takes place in the
evening (7:00 PM) on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Torrance Library, but
need transportation. If this is the case, OR if you can OFFER transportation,
please call (310) 326-4267, or e-mail me directly at .
3) SBCGS Members' ride-sharing for the Southern California Genealogical
Society 2004 Jamboree. This event takes place April 16th and 17th at the Westin in
Pasadena. Members interested in ride sharing for this event should call or
e-mail as indicated above for our general meetings. (To purchase TICKETS for
the Jamboree, you can call (818) 843-7247 or e-mail .)
I sit at the attendance desk as you enter the meeting room at the Torrance
Library, and would like to personally welcome you to our monthly get-togethers.
Please feel free to introduce yourself if you are not a "regular." Don't
forget to mark off your name if you are a member, or sign our guest list. Our
meetings are open to the public, so anyone can attend, take in our
presentations, ask questions, and make friends with people who share your interest!
Sincerely,
Stefani L. Operacz
Membership Chair, SBCGS
