Hi, there! I'm researching a doctoral dissertation about professional boxing and was hoping there are some fellow boxing buffs in the Alameda genealogical world who might know where I could some birth dates for some local heavyweight boxers of the past. I am lacking dates of birth for Thad Spencer, Elmer Rush and Henry Clark, all 1960's heavyweight fighters who were likely born in the early to mid 1940's. The other fighter is Grant Butcher, a 1950's heavyweight likely born in the mid to late 1920's. All four of these guys had San Francisco listed as their hometown in the literature. Any help steering me in the direction of their birthdates would help my dissertation immeasurably. Thanks! Andrew Lindsay (U of Toledo)
