Since there has been a recent thread regarding obits in Berkeley, I thought
I'd try submitting my query. I have sent $$ to the Oakland Public Lib. for
two obits; they did not find anything and sent the $$ back to me.

So would anyone have any access or links to either the San Francisco
Chronicle or the Berkeley Gazette for 1980 or 1986?

[Hilja Sophia Mackie Johnson, d. 22 Jan 1986 in Berkeley, Alameda Co,
Calif. , 88 years old, husband was Oscar Johnson, mother Greta Sophia
Mackie. ]

[Oscar Johnson, d. July 14, 1980 in Berkeley, Alameda Co., Calif. He was 89
years old; wife: Hilja Mackie Johnson.]

Oscar and Hilja lived in Berkeley, 83 Ardmore Rd for at least 40 years
until their deaths in 1980 (Oscar) and 1986 (Hilja).

Francisco papers, remember a lot of people who lived in the East Bay worked
in San Francisco so they would of had friends and co-workers.
