To locate an obituary, you may need to contact the local history room of the public library where the death occured. They often have indexes to local newspaper obituaries. You might also check with the local newspaper's archive department. Local genealogy and historical organizations may be able to help or provide you with specific contact information. I apologize for not knowing obituary sources in Alameda County but my personal ancestral research has only recently brought me to this area. Perhaps if you post a message query with this subject, someone could help steer you in the right direction. Be sure to include the year that you are interested in and the location. Good luck!
