The Jackson Lake Hospital's name was changed to the Civic Center Hospital, some time after the death of the owner in 1951. The land it was on was sold about 1958, so that a $2.5 million Apartment building could be build there. They build a new hospital at 40th and Shafter, and moved there at the end on February 1960. Do not know if it is still there or not.

p.s. a young woman gave birth to a son, just about 4 hours after they had move to the new location, so they did not charge the family for they felt that it was good luck to have a baby born on the first day that it was open.

In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is
weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.
