Frank Robert Springman

Aug. 20, 1934 - Oct. 17, 2003

Frank Robert Springman, 69, of Albany died Friday in Portland of
complications following a short illness.
His parents were Frank Springman and Esther Pearl Thompson.

He married Shirlie Grindle in 1965. They later divorced, but remained close
friends.

He was a millwright for General Motors and Western Kraft.

He was a longtime member of the American Legion Post 10. He served with the
honor guard for six years and held offices as first and second vice
commander.

Mr. Springman was an avid reader and sports fan. He enjoyed dedicating his
free time to the American Legion.

He enlisted in the Air Force in 1954 and served during the Korean War.

He is survived by his former wife, Shirlie Grindle; daughters Kimberlye
McDowell of Albany, Brittnye Farmer of Albany, Kelly Parcell of Florida,
Robyn Osborn and Rebecca Dickey, both of Indiana; brother Tim Ellis of Palm
Springs, Calif.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A graveside service was held Oct. 24 at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions can be made to help defray funeral expenses in care
of Fisher Funeral Home, P.O. Box 156, Albany, OR 97321.
