Say, there is something else you shouldn't miss in the area. I'll try to
dig up the particulars on it. It's a mine shaft over by Coloma, where gold
was discovered. You actually take this really neat tour deep into the mine
shaft. You carry a small cassette tape recorder with you so you can listen
to the old miner's story. Really neat lighting, artifacts, etc. A real
experience not to miss. It's not commercial, but I believe operated by a
city or county park & rec department.
