Hi Jackie and List,
Appreciate all of your help very much, and maybe we will find
a family connection here. *~*
There were other McBee families in CA during that
time period, but they were from MO and at least one (JG McBee) from IL
who
married an "Eliza Turman" in Tulare Co., in 1860, thought he was mine,
but not so, he stayed with her and they are listed on Census there after
mine
was back in TX in 1870.
I have a great deal of info on the MO. family, don't see any connection
to mine as yet.
The names John and William are very prominent names in our family,
William H.
was my John Garvin's father's name, but don't know of any Albert at all
in our family. My Grandfather, oldest son of JG and 3rd wife Margaret
Francis White
is John Andrew Jackson McBee, b.October 1877 in Jack County, Texas.
Which Cemetery is the (A?) McBee buried in, you didn't say?? Is there
anyone
that could check that out for us???
Do you have your Amanda Census info for 1870-80???
Thanks again.
Elnora
