>From Sutter Creek. Last Friday at the Lincoln mine, a miner named George
Clicinovich accidently fell down the shaft, from the 100-foot level, a
distance of four hundred feet,at which point he struck water which was
about 300 feet deep. Efforts to recover his body have proven futile.
