Webb Smith Superintendent of the Kennedy mine from 1903 until 1934, was
actually Webster Stewart. He was born January 25, 1867 in Pennsylvania d.
March 13, 1958 Amador County. His parents were divorced and his mother
married a school teacher in Amador City named Smith. Webb married Louise
Daughter of Dr. Caldwell.
