I don't know if this is helpful to you, but I noticed that the sur name "Podest" comes up in my family tree.

As far as I know...

Mary Podesta & Joseph Glavina (married in Senglea, Malta on August 22, 1850.)

Mary Podesta's parents were Peter Podesta and M'Anne Bonalto

I have no further information on them.
