Hello Vernalyn ~

I saw Markleeville in your message, and that's just up the road from me. (I'm over the mountain in Nevada.)

The town of Volcano is about 70 miles west from Markleeville, out Hwy 88. Pine Grove and Sutter Creek are a little further, maybe 15 miles or so.
