Hi:
Here are the John Logans in CA in the 1850 census. Of course, he could have been missed. Keep in mind how the name sounded to the ear of the census taker so I am including Soundex results. Unfortunately, the one at Mud Flat in El Dorado Co. doesn't list a birthplace. Where was your John Logan born?
