Hi Group:
I got a lot of response to my offer to do look ups. I will get back to each
and every one of you. I will look up your people in all of my books and be
as thorough as possible. I should get back to all of you before the end of
this weekend.
A little about my home resources. I looked at the cemeteries, and what the
other look up volunteers were offering to do look ups on. I then began my
endeavor to fill the gaps. I have a long way to go. I focus on the time
period before 1905, but have cemetery records after that time. If you have
checked the cemeteries on usgenweb and haven't found your ancestor, I may be
able to help you.
I look up people in my home resources, give the information I find. If it is
a common name, I will often give barebones info. and tell you to let me know
which things you want more info. on. I offer suggestions on where to search.
I occasionally do deeper research with the agreement that I will be
reimbursed for expenses, and given a tip. I only do this for those who live
too far away to come here on vacation to search for themselves.
