Clyde Erwin Sinclair
Clyde Erwin Sinclair died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, at age 87.
Mr. Sinclair was born in Jennylind on Nov. 19, 1914.
He was a resident of Yolo County for 55 years. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1945. He was a Captain of the California Highway Patrol, retiring in 1974 after serving for 27 years.
Mr. Sinclair was a member of the Rotary Club of Woodland, the Woodland Masonic Lodge No. 81 F & A.M., the Ben Ali Shrine in Sacramento and the Woodland Elks Lodge No. 1299.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman according to his family. He and his wife, Dorothy loved to travel. They would have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this year.
Mr. Sinclair is survived by his wife Dorothy Sinclair of Woodland; children, Michael Fratis and wife Carmel and Kathleen Norvell and husband David of Santa Cruz; grandchildren, Chris Scarbrough, Aaron Fratis and Jenna and Jonathan Norvell; great-grandson, Matthew Scarbrough.
He is also survived by two nieces and one nephew.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 1, St. Lukes Episcopal Church, at Second and Lincoln streets, in Woodland.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of the donors choice.
McNary's Chapel assisted the family with the arrangements.
