Wow! Small world! Yes, Gary and Suzie purchased part of the ranch...Mabel and Oscar's homestead. The Vogelsangs purchased the part of the ranch that Syd and Shirley had. I sure miss that place.
Ralph Gale (Oscar's brother) worked at the Sheep Ranch mine in the early 1900's. I believe that he lived there also.
It has always been said by my family that Oscar also had a stage line. I do not have any details, but I have old hitches from the coaches or buckboards. Maybe your grandfather and Oscar worked together...do not have that history.
I am not sure if you know that Syd died in 1977 in Eugene, Oregon and Shirley died in 2000 in Sonora.
I must say that I am surprized that you know my mothers maiden name!!
