I found no Fugere but there are similar first names with the last name of Fruzere. Could you have misread the handwriting on the census reports and the g was actually a z?
CA death index: Justine Frezere d:8/27/1944 age 76 in a rest home in Calaveras County. Mom's name was LaCosta, dad's name was Labrucherie.
Jean P. Fruzere B:10/19/1867, D: 8/31/1948 in a rest home in Calaveras County.
From the county marriage records:
Donna Marie Fruzere married George Freed 10/13/1950, age 30.
Jean V. Fruzere married Grace Sloan 5/11/1925 age 24
