Barbara Helen Trouton

Barbara Helen Trouton died Aug. 20, 2004 at Sutter Memorial Hospital in Sacramento from respiratory failure. Born Barbara Post on April 20, 1920 in Berkeley, she graduated in 1942 from UC Berkeley in Home Economics.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; son John Trouton and wife Jean of Alexandria, Va. and daughter, Mary Trouton Ginsburg and husband Wayne of Woodland; four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Barbara (Bobbie) and her husband, married 62 years, relocated in June of 2002 to the University Retirement Community in Davis from their residence of 52 years in El Cerrito.

Interment will be private at Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland. A memorial service will be held at the University Retirement Community at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances be made to the URC Foundation at 1515 Shasta Drive, Davis, 95616.
